First Public Hearing on Tax Rate for Tax Year 2015
Consider Zoning Case Z-1302-15; a change in zoning from Office-1 (O-1)/Light Industrial (LI) to a Planned Development with Light Industrial (LI) as the base zoning; located south of Danieldale Road and between Old Hickory Trail and Jo Drive, and adopting Ordinance. Applicant: Seefried Industrial Properties, Inc; Owner: DeSoto Development LTD.
Consider an Interlocal Agreement between the Trinity River Authority and the City of DeSoto for the construction of a relief interceptor to provide additional capacity to the wastewater system for Trinity River Authority customers, including DeSoto (The "Project"): providing for the approval of necessary sewer easements for The Project and providing for the authorization of the City Manager to execute the necessary documents for The Project.
Consider and approve the award of contracts to (1) DeSoto Janitorial Supply, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $46,638.36, and (2) Pollock Paper Distributors in the amount not to exceed $14,390.53, for janitorial supplies
Consider an Access Agreement to allow for the construction of a Combat Challenge Tower by Mr. Restore, to be located at the DeSoto Fire Training Center and accepting the donation of such tower.
Consider approval of contract for Medical Director Services with the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center.
Consider authorizing the Mayor to execute a construction contract with Santos Construction, Inc. of Dallas, Texas in the amount of $165,616.50 and establish a total project budget in the amount of $187,975 for the Deborah Lane Alley Replacement Project.
Consider authorizing the Mayor to execute a construction contract with Arreguin Group, Inc. of Dallas, Texas in the amount of $333,432.65 and establish a total project budget in the amount of $389,445 for the Eagle Drive/Southpointe Reconstruction Project.
Consider an Ordinance amending the Code of Oridnance by amending Chapter 9, Titled "Personnel" by amending Article 9.100, titled, "Advisory Boards and Commissions" by amending Section 9.102 titled, "Attendance; Removal; Vacancies; Applications" by amending Subsection (J) relating to nepotism and the eligibility of individuals related to the Mayor or City Council to serve on any City Board, Commission, Corporation or Committee
