a. Consider the selection of a Mayor Pro Tem as prescribed by the City Home Rule Charter.
b. Consider authorizing the City Manager to execute a professional services contract with 308 Construction, LLC for the construction of a restroom and a concessions facility at Grimes Park in the amount of $1,577,292.
c. Consider an amended Resolution approving $181,410 of Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) funding for the City’s Food Pantry Assistance Program.
d. Consider a Resolution of the City Council of the City of DeSoto, Texas, approving and adopting the form of the amended and restated Certificate of Formation for the DeSoto Development Corporation and approving and adopting the form of the Amended and Restated Bylaws for the DeSoto Development Corporation for the establishment of a Type B Economic Development Corporation.
e. Consider an Ordinance of the City of DeSoto, Texas, amending Chapter 9 titled “Personnel”, to create and establish requirements for a Parks and Recreation Board that shall generally continue the duties of the Park Development Board with the establishment of a Type B Economic Development Corporation.
f. Consider an Ordinance of the City of DeSoto, Texas, amending Chapter 3, Titled "Building Regulations" by adding a new Article 3.2300 titled, "Rental Registration and Inspection Requirements for Single Family Rental Units" for the purpose of establishing regulations for the registration and inspection of Single-Family Rental Units located within the city with an effective date of January 20, 2022; amending Appendix A, titled, "Fee Schedule" by adding Article 35.000 titled, Rental Registration and Residential Inspection Program Fees" by adding a Rental Registration Fee and a Residential Inspection Program Fee".
